Terms and conditions of reservation:

1. Bookings will only be confirmed once Netherwood is in receipt of a signed contract and a 25% refundable damages deposit. By signing the contract, you agree to all the terms and conditions stipulated in both the quote and the contract.

2. The damages deposit will be refunded within 10 working days after your stay, subject to final inventory.

3. All prices quoted are subject to change provided that the client is informed of such changes at least thirty days prior to a reserved booking.

4. All prices quoted are inclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT)

5. Netherwood is located on a working farm. Animals, tractors and farming procedures (moving of animals, fencing, fire breaks etc) are a priority and may from time to time coincide with your stay. Netherwood will not be held liable for any damage caused by unforeseeable animal roaming or farming procedures.

6. Lidgett’s Grant House caters for a maximum capacity of 20 people. No additional guests may be accommodated at the Lodge. If the maximum capacity is exceeded, Netherwood will charge an excess fee of R1,200/pp, per night

7. Entertainment of more than 10 non-resident guests at Lidgett’s Grant Lodge at any one time will carry a surcharge of R100/pp, per day

8. All two (2) – sleeper cottages (Ibis, Heron, Crane, Eagle) caters for a maximum capacity of 2 people. No additional guests may be accommodated at the Cottage. If the maximum capacity is exceeded, Netherwood will charge an excess fee of R600/pp, per night

9. Entertainment of more than 4 non-resident guests at the two (2) – sleeper cottages at any one time will carry a surcharge of R100 pp, per day

10. All four (4) – sleeper cottages (Reedbuck) caters for a maximum capacity of 4 people. No additional guests may be accommodated at the Cottage. If the maximum capacity is exceeded, Netherwood will charge an excess fee of R800/pp, per night

11. Entertainment of more than 6 non-resident guests at the four (4) – sleeper cottages at any one time will carry a surcharge of R100 pp, per day

12. Netherwood will only allow pre approved external suppliers onto the property. All external suppliers will be required to sign a terms and conditions agreement before they will be allowed to enter Netherwood’s premises.

13. Payment in full will secure your reservation for the desired accommodation. If payment is not received within 72 hours of booking, the accommodation will become available to the public. Keys will not be provided with any outstanding balance or proof of payment.

14. Check-In Time for all accommodation is 14:00

15. Check-Out Time for all accommodation is 11:00

16. Early Check-Ins and late Check-Outs will carry an additional fee of R200/hour

17. Netherwood reserves the right to cancel any booking forthwith and without liability on its part in the event of any damage or destruction of the accommodation by fire or any other cause, any shortage of labour or food supplies, strikes, lockouts or industrial unrest, or any cause beyond the control of Netherwood which shall prevent it from performing its obligations in connection with any bookings in its establishment. Refunds will be dealt with accordingly.

18. Whilst every precaution has been taken to ensure the safety of our guests, Netherwood accepts no liability in the event of loss or damage to property, persons or personal effects during their stay. Any unforeseeable events are not the responsibility of Netherwood or its staff, and can therefore not be held accountable. Should Netherwood suffer any loss or damage as a result of an act or omission by a guest or visitor of a guest, the guest will remain liable for full reimbursement of such loss or damage and will be billed accordingly. Netherwood will automatically draw from the damages deposit outlined above, and any excess damages incurred will be billed directly to the guest. The term ‘guest’ refers to the details provided on the invoice and this contract.

19. Netherwood does not accept liability for injury to you or your guests on the premises due to negligence, over-indulgence or any other cause.

20. Please kindly note that All Rights of Admission are Reserved.

21. Under no circumstances will aggressive or destructive behavior be tolerated towards Netherwood staff or property. In the event that such behavior should occur the relevant authorities will be notified and you, the client, will be held responsible for any costs incurred. Please kindly ensure that your guests are aware of this.

22. Netherwood Cottages and Lidgett’s Grant Lodge are non-smoking spaces. An automatic, non-negotiable fine of R2000 will be charged per facility if this is ignored.

23. At Lidgett’s Grant Lodge, music must be turned down to a reasonable level by 00h00 and all music must be switched off by 02h00. If this is not adhered to, a R500 fee will apply.

24. At Netherwood Cottages, music must be turned down to a reasonable level by 22h00 and all music must be switched off by 00h00. If this is not adhered to, a R500 fee will apply.

25. The client shall not be entitled to assign the booking to any third party to utilize Netherwood’s facilities without management’s prior written approval.

26. In the unlikely event of there being a breach of this contract, requesting legal intervention, the party in breach will pay the fees associated with this intervention.

27. Agreement to changes of the above conditions will only be valid if in writing by both parties.

28. I agree that interest at the rate of 20% per month on all overdue and/or arrear amounts shall be levied.

29. I hereby consent to the jurisdiction of the Magistrate’s Court in respect of any action or proceedings which may be brought against them in connection with any claim brought by NETHERWOOD FARM CC notwithstanding the fact that such action or proceedings would otherwise be beyond the jurisdiction of such Court.

30. I agree that if this amount is handed over to Attorneys for collection due to failure to adhere to any of the above terms or for any other reason then I shall be responsible for the payment of all collection charges at the ruling rate and all legal costs as between Attorney and Client and the whole amounts outstanding on the account shall forth-with be deemed to become due and owing even if a portion thereof would not be due in accordance with the above terms.

Cancellation policy

1. If you choose to cancel your Cottage booking, Netherwood shall retain 100% of the total value of the booking fee if cancelled within seven (7) days of check-in.

2. If you cancel your Cottage booking more than seven (7) days prior to the original check-in date, you will receive a full refund of your payment made.

3. If you choose to cancel your Lodge booking, Netherwood shall retain 100% of the total value of the booking fee if cancelled within fourteen (14) days of check-in.

4. If you cancel your Lodge booking more than fourteen (14) days prior to the original check-in date, you will receive a full refund of your payment made.

5. Please note all refunds are done through a third party service provider and will take up to ten (10) business days to reflect.

6. Netherwood reserves the right to cancel bookings at any time.
